Embrace chaos & complexity

The development sector - either GOs as well as NGOs - are obsessed with planning, logframing, monitoring, evaluating. Unfortunately these techniques are made for situations with clear or at least explorable relation between cause and effect. They are not very good suited to complex, maybe even chaotic situations. Understanding the domain you are in helps a lot, to avoid looking overstrained. We should try our best to make sense of the world to act in it. And not follow legacy practices .
